Gardening education at the library

Here are some upcoming events for beginning gardeners:

Growing Readers Gardening Workshops for children, Thursdays, June 20 thru Aug 8, 3-4pm, Main Library, Children’s Room.  

Young people earn about soil, seeds, bugs, weeds, plus get an introduction to urban farming and container gardening

Learn the Art of Seeding with Jonathan Silverman, Saturday, June 22, 11am, Dimond Branch, 3565 Fruitvale Ave. 

You will learn how seeds work, best ways to plant seeds, how to care for your seedlings, and begin to cultivate fresh produce or blossoms.
